About us

Company History

Inkdustry GmbH was founded in April 2005. Based on the longterm experience of the company's founders in industrial inkjeting, the first own development, the High-end Continuous Inkjet System CodeCenter was launched in 2006. Implementing innovative technologies the system allows solutions to take place, which normally could only be implemented with high efforts and additional equipment.

In 2008 the "small brother" CodeCube was developed, which is optimized for standard coding applications.

Innovative developments played the key role from the very beginning of Inkdustry GmbH on. Beside the work on own products, also product development for industrial customers were part of the activities.

In january 2009, Inkdustry GmbH was newly structured to build up the series production in a new, larger office in Neubrunn.

The purchase of the 32000 sqft canteen of the former Kurmainzkaserne in Tauberbischofsheim started the required conversion from a craftman's small series production to a medium sized industrial company.
Since 2014 innovative development, production and assembly takes place in bright and modern offices and production areas.

Business Objectives

Dipl.-Ing. Bernhard Grassl, sole managing owner of Inkdustry GmbH, has been developing continuous inkjet systems for 30 years. During this time, he developed core software for various well-known manufacturers, including user-friendly graphic interfaces, structured communication systems and sophisticated ink system and printing algorithms.

From the foundation of Inkdustry GmbH in 2005, he successfully built up a team of inkjet specialists who are mastering the high technical requirements in the implementation of these inkjet systems and are coping the daily changing tasks.

"I’m surprised that most of our competitors obviously put their main focus of their new developments on forcing the customer into the direct aftersales business of consumables and spare parts. We are convinced that the CIJ technology is not an outdated, low innovation technology for appliance of expiry dates, but can be a modern, technologically sophisticated concept, in which many technical innovations are still waiting to be developed. Our team is committed to continuously developing this technology, with a focus on integrability into more and more complex master systems, and for applications far ahead from the normal expiration date coding. "

Development & Production

In modern development and production rooms, Inkdustry GmbH has almost all tools that are necessary for the manufacture and assembly of the systems. A high production depth enables intensive quality control, and prototypes can be produced in a short time and at the standards of series production for new developments. A complete Track & Trace system is installed in the production process with its own production software, where each individual production step is recorded and logged.

"While many business economists still stuck to the outdated strategies that profit can only be achieved by moving productions to low-income countries and through pushing suppliers to their absolute limits, we understand that this approach is not suitable for complex technologies. Only technically competent implementations of all production process steps can bring continuous success. Therefore we have equipped our facility with own CNC manufacturing centers, a SMD pick and place machine, as well as reflux and wave soldering systems in order to examine, develop, learn and optimize all individual steps in the production process. This is necessary to meet in every detail the high demands our customers have on the products they buy from us and use in their production facilities. "
